SIUE’s Eugene B. Redmond Spotlighted with St. Louis Artist for Creative Social Justice Protests

Dr. Eugene B. Redmond, English language and literature emeritus professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, was spotlighted on St.LouisPublic Radio for artistically addressing the social issues of the day, namely the protests in Ferguson.
Redmond, a former member of St. Louis’ Black Artist Group (BAG) and East St. Louis Poet Laureate, speaks about real life scenes and backdrops from where he and other colleagues take up artistic “arms” and fight.
